Misc Qs

Is Ariel L Hodge your real name?

Nope. It's my pen name. But it has been my pen name since I was like 11/12, so it is almost as much mine as my legal one.

Are you interested in a collab project?

Depending on the details, yes. Just shoot me a message on insta or twitter.

Will you... Draw my OC / Draw (insert thing) / 3D print (insert thing) / Sew (insert thing) ...for free / shares / exposure?

Nope. Not for free, bucko.

Can I draw your OC in my style?

Sure! Just don't sell it & be sure & tag me when you share it so I can see it!

Do you sell your orginal sketches?

Nope, I am an art hoarder. Since I have leaned heavily into digital art nowadays most of them look like chicken scratch in the first sketch anyway.

If I share your page will you give me (insert thing)?

Nope. Exposure don't feed the Gremlinz.

Would you consider a trade w/ another artist?

Sure! Have to hash out the details by reaching out to me on insta ot twitter. (digital only)

Would you like to be contacted by sponsors or other business opportunities?

Perhaps, depends on the details. And only if it is for actual money or merch, not "exposure" or any other non monetary or item exchange.

Do you use affiliate links?

Yes, I use affiliate links on my sites (Website & social medias). These links in no way cost you guys more, merely give me a small % of commission based on your purchase(s).

Where are you located?

Tri-County in Western NC, not gonna get more specific than that. I got a PO Box for a reason. (❁´◡`❁)

Shopping Qs

Am I buying an orginal product?

Yes, the art is orginal by me.

Will my item be the exact same color as the photos?

Unfortunately, not usually. Due to the wide variety of monitor settings that exist out there I cannot guarantee it will be the exact same color you see on your screen, just in the same general vicinity.

Why do you have so many shops? Can I combine my orders from them to save on shipping?

The reason I have diff shops is to spread my merch around on the web & increase my chances of sales. Most of my merch is print on demand anyway, so it is easier for me to hand the packaging & other aspects off to the POD marketplaces than handling it myself. I still plan on offering some POD items in my personal shops that are not available in others (such as extended sized clothing). As stated above most of my stuff comes from Third-Party-Printers, who charge shipping per product type & not per order. So I am unable to combine orders from any of my shops or my patreon/kickstarter merch.

Will you sign the item I bought?

Depends on the item, Third-Party-Printer stuff never comes into my hands so I can't sign them. If it is an In-Hand or Made-to-Order item I am more than happy to sign it if it is signable. Or to include a little signed business card. If it is a book then those are all Third-Party-Shippers. Eventually I plan to offer a "Collector's Bundle" in my shop that has a signed bookplate & some other goodies exclusive to the bundle themed to either the individual book or the series. If you happen to have one of my books in hand & meet up w/ me at a show/market I would be happy to sign it.

What is your return policy?

I don't have one, I do not accept returns. If your item arrived damaged please see the shipping Q section to see what we can do to make it right.

Can I add something from the shop to my Kickstarter/Patreon order to save on shipping?

No, unfortunately it would get too complicated on my end. Too large of a chance of forgetting to pop in the add on items.

Do you offer installment payments / holds / layaway?

Nope. Been there, done that. Not again. Never again.

What is the difference between In-Hand, Made-to-Order, & Third-Party-Shipper items?

  • In-Hand are items I have already made or second hand items that are ready to be shipped.
  • Made-to-Order is just as it sounds, it is an item that I need to assemble, sew, print, etc.
  • Third-Party-Shipper are items I source out to be printed & shipped. They are printed per order & can possibly take a longer amount of time to be made depending on the back order that the company has.

    Shipping Qs

    Do you ship worldwide?

Depends on where you are buying my merch. If it is Print-on-Demand from third party market places (like redbubble, society6, zazzle, tee spring, etc) they usually ship worldwide. Their fact pages would have to be double checked to confirm if they have restrictions. If it is something from my Ebay, Etsy, or Big Cartel I only ship to USA due to the recent changes in VAT law & how complicated it's gotten.

Can I pick up my item(s) in person?

Nope. Not unless it's like a non-refundable pre-pay or something for a show/market day & we set up a pick up time.

What shipping options do you offer? Is there tracking?

I ship all of my In-Hand stuff via priority mail, included tracking & insurance. My Third-Party-Printer stuff is up to them when it comes to carrier, but there is tracking.

Will all of my stuff come in one shipping box?

Unless it is all In-Hand or Made-to-Order stuff in your order the answer is probably no. I have it set up so you are only charged one fee but my Third-Party-Printer states that they will often use multiple packages to send different types of items.

When will I recieve my order?

It varies depending on what you bought. Please refer to the description of the item you bought for detailed info but the following is the general idea for USA orders, international varies depending on the country:

  • In-Hand items (priority mail) take 3-10 business days after they get dropped off at usps. I usually make 2 drop offs a week to the usps.
  • Made-to-Order stuff needs to be assembled/printed/etc the timeframe for that will be listed on the item's description. In general it takes 1-8 weeks to get the item together. Usually on the shorter end, but life has a way of rearing it's monsterous head at the most unexpected times. Once it is done it will be the same as In-Hand items.
  • Third-Party-Printer items are the ones who are the most varied. It depends on if the base is on back order, but on the websites the general time frame given is 15-30 business days from the time I place your order.

  • My item came damaged, what do I do?
